Was on the 4 Train headed back home from working the game today and Andrew Miller was with his son, wife, and I assume his or her parents. It's amazing how tall dude is and how he can blend in as a regular dude :ehh:

I think the Yankees are being held back by contracts. The offense would probably be more effective if the youngins played.

They rely too much on aging vets and it's not like you can sit them because of what they are being paid.

Other than McCann (and really, they can't sit him, they can only decide to make him a 1B/DH at some point), the contracts aren't getting in the way of the kids. Some of them need the seasoning. The only one that woulda been held back was Bird and Bird's out for the year.

Next year, the space is freed up for the kids to be entrenched. Judge, Bird, Severino (has a spot), Kaprielian will all have a spot somewhere. Sanchez is the only one really blocked.

Going to the game now.

Bad news: inconvenient as fukk to get the tickets even though StubHub gets you your seats in less than a minute.

Good news: the prices get stupid cheap near game time. For $10 I'm behind the LF wall
