Clueless Joe mismanaging the bullpen late again, classic. shyt, let Tanaka throw 120 pitches and go the distance. Or at least 8 and piece together the ninth WITHOUT betances. Such fukking garbage. I feel physically sick

I have not been a fan at all how he's handled the bullpen. He stays taking guys out early or leaving them in too late. Someone needs to take over this part of the job. It's cost us several big games

Breh it's over. This was their chance and they fukked it up. Nobody should have any confidence in Betances right now.

I mean there's no way you could've realistically expected them to sweep Boston. Stranger things have happened and the AL East is practically beating up on each other to close the season, so it ain't over. I will say this, if they get swept, then you can safely say the pennant race is done.

Yeah, yesterday he put betances in in the eighth with two outs and a guy on first. Then in the ninth he starts fukking up. There's seriously nobody else on the roster that he trusts at all?

It was all there for the taking tonight, what a horrific loss and pretty much the season ender playoff contention wise. I thought after the jam that Warren got out of in the botttom of the 8th, the game was most likely done.

It's weird, I only saw it until there was one out in the bottom of the ninth and Girardi changed pitchers but I saw a tweet saying Betances was unavailable tonight. shyt, Girardi managed tight as a drum tonight, even moreso than usual.

He was so wound up for no reason. You would think Parker would get a little more respect after how he bailed out Betances against Toronto. The worst thing the pen did was give up a solo shot to Ortiz which is meaningless up 4.

Here's what I don't get. Once that ball gets past Sanchez and the runners advance, why not just walk Hanley?

I'm no Yankee fan but I follow them closely enough, why they got rid of 2/3 of that good ass bullpen I'll never know. I realize they want to get younger but that was the one thing they had right now that was better than anyone else. After the 6th with a lead they were deadly.

Also, I've never been sold on Joe lol

*goes to bed with 1 out up by 3*

*wakes up and finds out they lost*

At least this stops the Girardi M.O.Y narrative.

Dellin has officially become Girardi's Scott Proctor. He's thrown the most pitches of any reliever in baseball the last 3 years. No coincidence he's struggled the last 2 Septembers. Still need a real closer though next year. Or let Clippard take over for now.

And it's obvious your pen is taxed, so why take Tanaka out after 93 pitches? Why bring in 3 different pitchers to 3 different batters up by 3 in the 9th? This is why I'm so critical of The Binder- No feel for the game, and so uptight for no fukking reason. Just end the season. Only he can ruin what was turning into a fun season.

Girardi did so many goofy things that inning, it's no wonder his moves came back to bite the team in the ass. Obviously the blame falls on Betances for pitching like shyt but talk about putting him in a situation with little wiggle room.

The guy already pitched high stress innings yesterday so Girardi puts him back out there with runners on base, wtf. Why didn't Betances just start the inning if he was gonna be used like that, it was already a save situation when the inning started. Or why not save Warren for the ninth and mix and match the bottom of the eighth?

Hindsight's 20-20 but you're right, they should have walked Ramirez to pitch to Shaw. While Shaw's been a little better in September, he's had a horrific second half while Hanley's power numbers are above average so far this month. Girardi has all the numbers right at his disposal on his damn binder but decides to just wing it for some dumbass reason. Hanley was up 3-1 so walking him wouldn't have been the worst thing...

So who you guys want in FA?
You think it's possible to get the White Sox to trade Sale without giving up Gary Sanchez?

Rather wait another season for FA and go after Harper and Machado (I think they're up after 2017)
We have enough prospects other than Sanchez who could be used in offers for Sale
I'd say Sanchez is untradable unless Mike trout is being offered
