If the rest of the country follows Florida's playbook, we wont have any more elections. Florida just cancelled ours, and kicked them down the road 2 years, citing that they want their elections to coincide with the national ones. Basically buying representatives who's term limits are set to expire, another 2 years.

I don't think the Democrats realized that. If they did,

1. Biden would have signaled his intent to not run the second time, and would have done this with enough time to have an open primary and select a candidate with plural support of the American people

2. Biden would not have fast tracked an unpopular female vice president to take his place as nominee of the Democrats

3. Said vice president would not have dampened enthusiasm amongst the base by cozying up to Liz Cheney, refusing to commit to people like Lina Khan, or affirming Israel's right to continue a genocide FUNDED BY OUR TAXDOLLARS

Skipping over all of that to focus on voters is crazy, considering that even with full turnout, Trump would have still won! That's how horrible of a candidate she was.
