finishing up the folks who dropped stuf I enjoyed this year:

Apathy+OC
Rapsody
Cunninlynguists
Wu-Tang
Krit
Ill Bill+Vinnie Paz
EarthGang
CyHi
Talib Kweli's solo
Fab+Jada
Crooked I
Gibbs
Sean Price
Action Bronson

And this isn't even counting the stuff I'm SURE other posters felt was 4.25-4.5/5 and it's just not my lane of music.

Hell, Kweli, CyHi and Crooked seems like they all dropped in the last month. All three AOTY contenders.

It's been a good fukking year. :whew:

Mozzy
Rick Ross
Slim Thug
G Perico
DJ Quick & Problem “Rosecrans”
G Herbo Ferg
Lud Foe

That Quik and Problem joint was good. I'm just set in my ways and like what i like. A lot of new shyt just don't appeal to me.

I need to go back and listen to that O.C. album tho.

I'm just saying there was something for everyone.

I don't know how anyone can say this was a trash year for hiphop. unless they just listen to the radio or whats playing in clubs and around campus

so please give us these reviews and these classic verses from that list.
simply cause i don't remember anything from those albums worth spinning again, ever.
so please give us these standout records and verse that we missed.
that are also technically so advanced i just gotta hear them.

Yeah you’re probably right. You’re just stuck in the old school era, which is fine. But there is so much new music out today. It’s just not your cup of tea. :manny:

Who said all that? And that shouldn't be standard for if a year was good or bad for hiphop. I'm not breaking down all those albums after the fact I've listen to more hiphop albums this year than i have in the past couple years. Its been a good year for fans of hiphop.... regardless of what you like.

Off the top of my head Kweli/JID/Jay/Kendrick/Drake/Rapsody/Vince Joey and Scarface all had great tracks. J.I.D had one of my fav albums all year and you hardly hear anything about dude.
