Probably QC, I think Houston is a dark horse if Melnyk sells it to Fertitta at a discounted rate. I know top NHL owners want Houston since it’s a big market in the US.

Quebec isnt getting a damn team lol....bettman wants nothing to do with small market Canada,he cant sell that to american advertisers.

It will go Seattle or Houston.

I thought Winnipeg was never gettting a team again either. But luck has to for them, ownership situation was so toxic and bad with the Thrashers, Jets 2.0 happened. Seattle will be 32nd team so they are out. If Sens do move it’s really QC, Houston, and maybe Milwaukee as possible spots. So yea QC has a shot imo.

Nah not with 3 or 4 viable markets in the US available.Small city with no corporate backing and crappy french/english politics that never stop.

I bet you Bettman laughs behind closed doors when its brought up about a team going back there...

Yep Sens are done as a franchise and I say that as a fan. Listening to local sports radio now and fans have been raging all afternoon, it’s over, I wouldn’t be shocked if they have the lowest attendance in the league this season. Already have a very small season ticketbase and are highly reliant on walkup tickets and now they have an owner actively trying to be as cheap as possible? Congrats Seattle.

Karlsson was in tears in his outgoing press conference, said he never wanted to leave. :francis: If they paid him, he would definitely stay but this was always about Melnyk’s wallet ( he’s broke)

The only way this team gets saved is if he is somehow forced to sell. No way the arena gets built under him - the city won’t pay for it and he doesn’t have the funds.

True, you are right Winnipeg was very lucky to get a team back, but I won’t doubt QC chances.

Melnyk isn't moving the team. Didn't you see that awkward interview with the Sens back up D man last week? :mjlol:

I suspect things will look different in a year or two when they’re very last in attendance and get further in debt. I don’t think he will move them, but if the team gets pawned to new ownership who knows?

Ottawa got everything a franchise could have wanted from a player and still walked away. Sorry for the fans but I hope that team gets moved. Trash owner trash human being

Still speechless that they traded a generational talent who wanted to stay here for the rest of his career.

Not surprised at all,its economics...im surprised they waited this long and appeared to get so little for him...They cant afford his next salary when theyre already losing money and cant sell out anymore...2 years ago they couldent sell out the joint when they were in the conference final,i think the writing was on the wall at that point....
