Yeah, they need a progressive candidate then. Being anti-Trump is not going to be good enough. Plus despite the news he really hasn't done anything legislative wise people are really pissed off about. His tax reform isn't popular but it really doesn't matter much to people already broke.
Seems this thread is also conceding he will finish his term. I remember when that was a pipe dream. lol

He hasn’t done anything legislative wise except tax reform and won’t do anything legislative wise

That's the point. The batter only costs $3.00 to make because the natural resource being used to create the battery is basically stolen. The global trade price has little to do with the labor exploitation in 3rd world countries that feeds the industry. I am actually surprised you're arguing with me on this.
Do you think that chart you posted means conditions for cobalt miners are improving? All it means is investors are making more.
It doesn't. That's the entire point. Despite a surge in prices, worker conditions have not improved. Similarly, iPhone prices have no seen a similar surge in pricing nor a loss in profitability. Instead, we've seen an increase in profits. Therefore, there is room to increase the lifestyle of the cobalt miners, without significantly affecting both the profitability of the iPhone even at its current price point.

Regardless, my point was a much more general one: Americans do not deserve deserve cutting edge technology at the expense of entire communities, nations, etc. If you think that large numbers of people should suffer so Americans can more easily access twitter, then we're never going to agree.

Based on all the information I have and even the information you presented in your article Americans are not the largest consumers of iPhones or Smartphones in general. Four out of five of the largest Smartphone makers are not even American companies. Framing this as an American centric issue just seems off base here.Especially considering the majority of this product never touches america at all from start to finish.

No. 2: Apple | Gadgets Now
Apple sales revenue by country/region 2012-2018 | Statistic

From your own article, more than just labor costs are how they reached to 2,0000 price point. A statement t I've disagreed with all along because it's just off base.

Did you know that phone scams have quadrupled? All because Trump reversed the Obama regulation where phone companies couldn't sell your number to advertisers. Now, people are getting calls from fake numbers and scammers are back in the game. I am sure most people don't know or understand why he did it.

I am even confident you don't care either. Your job here is to cast doubt and you're right on it.
I didn't know about that and you're right me like most people don't care about that shyt.

@LeVraiPapi

I saw a facebook post from one of my friends asking has anyone noticed the increase in telemarketer calls they've received. I think people are starting to notice, but didn't know it was because that rule was reversed. If we're being completely honest, I remember when the role went into affect, but I wasn't aware it was reversed.

I never said that, nor did I mean that. I said people like you. Most people do care that our vulnerable population may get scammed. I do care.

Like I say, you're here to cast doubt. You're in here to cast doubt and downplay while trying to look like you're a neutral force.

Yeah. I work with advertisers and they say they can spam people phones now as they want. They can even outsource that job to India. You basically giving another country info about Americans. The people that work in those businesses are dirt poor and get paid more by scammers for American citizens' information. Then, these scammers have a software they can call you from a number of the exact digits of your friend, family, coworkers... When you think it's them, that's when the scammer pulls a hot one.

The best part is they can even call you with your own digits.

Say your number is (904)-123-4567). One day, you can see you have a missed call from (904)-123-4567.

I have an Android and it's unbearable now. iPhone starts with a new way to flag them as a scammer. So, your phone will say "Scammer" or "Scammer likely" or "Call from dangerous individual"

Had that happen with my phone. They were even asking me to enter in the last 4 of my social and pin.

you know I don't be spilling ducktales here. Yes, that's the new trick. These Indians are scamming the shyt out of America right now. If they call 40 people in 1 day, trust me at least 5 get scammed. However, hey like the agent here puts it we don't care about that.

Getting unwanted phone calls is not a scam it's solicitation. You have to voluntarily fall for it.
I'm not a neutral force. I think Bernie or another progressive should be the nominee. Not sure where you got that.

I highlighted the agent's post here.

So, basically we just told you they are using a software to scam and asking you to enter digits, yet you say it's solicitation. Solicitation is if I was getting calls about a travel deal or some cheap product. Solicitation is a form of advertisement. To advertise a product, and use somebody's mom cell number to call them and go like "This Jay calling from Apple..." you and the company you work for would get sued to high heaven.

I don't know if you even understand what I am explaining to you. I am not if your goal is to understand at all.

They ask you to do what?! 'Entering digits' is participation. I don't know about you when I get unsolicited phone calls I hang up. :yeshrug:
It's just like the memes on facebook. If that makes you change your vote yer just dumb. I don't think that there are that many dumb people to swing an election.
Plus, we are getting off track from the thread topic, a small issue like this is not going to win anyone an election. A president needs to concentrate on bigger issues like regulating Wall St., Healthcare, Trade policy etc. Not fukkin' phone scams.
