The thing about it is, if you’re going to the brunch you have to a product everyone needs and be ready to network. Not just show up and snap videos. If you don’t, you might as well take the money and develop it.

As someone who’s been to events similar to this you can’t exactly just run up on people and start taking. The best way is to know a point person who can co-sign you and put you in the best position. (Like a Biggs, or another Heavyweight in the room).

Another tip I’d say is to bring a presentable plus 1 (A woman preferred). If people see you laughing and having a good time, they’ll automatically gravitate to you.

At the end of the day “Be in the room” you’ll never know what happens.

take the invite and work the room like a waiter with a pyramid platter of shrimp.

have something valuable to present and be prepared to answer every question. Then take meetings the following week.
These industry cats ain't giving up no free game especially at a brunch to someone they never met before. 2/3rds of the people there are on their way down or fighting to get their careers up on the right tract. Behind the glossy pics and champagne toasts most of those attendees are paranoid asf. Everything is internet based these days. Not hating on the brunch, its cool, but take that $70K and get your business, hustle, or creative project going.

And even then, it has to be good and you have to be good at networking. Negus think smelling camel farts is gonna make em rich overnight. Every single person at that brunch was there for a reason.

Why did you post some random hypothetical tweet?

aren’t you one of those introverts that’s scared of people
I'm an introvert but I'm not scared of anyone lol.

And I didn't post a tweet...you must be thinking of someone else.

If it's your industry, you take the invite. If it's not, you take the money. It's a pretty stupid question, and it's being used as a way to make people who say "take the invite" as some sorta sycophants or fame chasers.

If you swapped everybody out with Fortune 500 CEOs or bankers, and that was the industry you worked in, nobody would laugh at you on Twitter for going to the "Fortune 500 Brunch" and trying to meet people.

You go, and you try and talk to the right people, not the people highest up. It's basic networking. But maybe I'm applying too much logic to a bait tweet.

This, take the money and go. The industry people are going to listen to your ideas and just steal them

You sound scared. Introverts aren't scared of people... we just don't like them.

Clout chasers and people like you who are desperate for validation are an energy drain. Everyone isn't worth my time.

Being a goon. He like the younger version of Maino, where people have trouble finding quotables from his songs. They worship them for goon shyt.
This is funny because Cas actually has quotable one liners. "fukk boy don't run", "We outside", "I hope that doesn't go over y'all heads".

Anyway Cas isn't a good rapper he just gets the right beats and right features, he has a lot of energy, authenticity, he's a social media personality, a strong networker, got the right people behind him (Memphis Bleek, Roc Nation), is always visible on the club tour scene, and he always puts out a local hit song (Don't Run, Set Trippin', So Brooklyn).

Cas did a smart thing and went for a more international fanbase. Linked up with Giggs for that UK reach and made a song with Davido and Tory Lanez that ended up going number one in Africa.

Funny thing is the people at the brunch that are clients at Roc Nation have paid to be there. This brunch is a lot more PR than substance. Real power brunches don't get televised through instagram.
