You got one pro team bro and even that’s a huge commitment for y’all. You acting like MLB is clamoring for a team in Raleigh just because you live there :mjlol:

There are several more legitimate and realistic options including in your own state than Raleigh, GTFOG with this disingenuous, low key homer thread. Raleigh ain’t gettin shyt :mjlol:
I don't think Raleigh will get the squad as it stands now bit you never know. We have a billionaire front man and a bunch of shyt working in our favor, we'll see how the next few years play out...

Oakland and Nashville

Either keep the naming rights to the Athletics if the current team is moved to Vegas by their hoe ass owner .

Or call them the Oakland Oaks and have them play at Howard Terminal.

The Rays should move to Orlando after that home playoff turnout :scust:

Nashville is getting both an MLB team and an NBA team in the next decade. More than likely the grizzlies will move there. Nashville has a booming economy, as well as the infrastructure to support pro teams

It doesn't have the infrastructure, they need rail and way more of a population than they currently have...

I do think they'll get one of the teams though...

It’s shocking how much they have grown in just the past decade. I can definitely see them getting a MLB team but I’d hate if they took the Grizzlies. I read they re upped until 2029 so we shall see.

Sacramento is Giants country unfortunately. Even when our minor league team was ran by the A's . We actually had a better shot of landing a NFL team back in the 90s .

Nashville is a lock. I hope the MLB pulls a Cleveland Browns w/ the A’s. Force Fisher to rebrand the A’s, and give Oakland an expansion franchise that keeps the A’s name/history.

What about San Jose? The Giants territorial rights are bogus and I really believe the Bay Area should be a two team market having just one baseball team in NorCal isn’t right to me.

Sporting News says these are the frontrunners:

Charlotte
Raleigh
Nashville
Portland
Montreal
Salt Lake

With a few dark horse candidates:

Mexico City
Vancouver
Sacramento
Oakland
San Antonio

I'm gonna ride the train for Raleigh and Sacramento. Alot of yall are convinced Raleigh won't get an expansion team but all the rags covering this shyt have Raleigh as a legitimate option...

Sac's not gonna get it. We should but they won't. It'll probably be Portland and Nashville...

Wouldn't be mad at Raleigh but would rather Charlotte got the team

Nah fukk that, gotta root for Nashville now (and I think they are the frontrunner anyway). Majority black ownership, designing to put the stadium I a historically black neighborhood, using the Negro League team name. I hope Nashville gets it and odds are they will anyway...

I think MLB will put one team on the eastern side of the country, and one on the West. Nashville fills that eastern side as well as the Southeastern MLB void...

I still believe Portland is the favorite among western cities. Sporting News mentioned Sacramento as a dark horse, that's a long established and well-respected sports rag, they got Sac's name from somewhere. I don't see the path but I'd love for Sacramento to pull a rabbit out the hat and make this happen...

Tennessee seems more so like a state that would support baseball, Vanderbilt and university of ten both had good baseball teams over the years, I think Nashville would support a team
