Goodell invaded on the NBA having Christmas Day, now he's doing the same with MLK day.
I'm guessing that wild card winner automatically plays the Sunday divisional round game, similar to how they'll have a Sunday wild card winner play the following Saturday (less than a week like the Ravens did last postseason).
Problem is there is no way for the NFL to guarantee that the Monday winner plays on Sunday, except if they guarantee the Monday game is in the same conference as both games the next Sunday are also same conference.
They re-seeded the 2nd round, so every scenario would not guarantee that to be the case.
Example: If the Monday game is #2-#7, if #7 wins, they play #1, but if #2 wins, they get the home game the next week. They will already have the 2nd round game times and dates sorted out, so if they split the AFC/NFC divisional games (as normal), #1 would already be set for Saturday, and the other game for Sunday, or vice versa.
That Monday playoff winner is gonna be screwed.
