This team has been something this year. 2 years ago, I would have been expecting them to fall apart against Washington and Philly after all the injuries to the staff. They built up enough of a cushion where they can still be competitive even if the trip is a disaster.

I wonder what it would take to get Frankie Montas from Oakland. deGoat, Max, Montas and Bassit would be tough to beat in the playoffs.

I'd part with baty and Mauricio if it meant keeping Alvarez because he comes with 2 years of control.

Baty I would want to keep. Plus our rotation is fine I would want bullpen help before Montas.

Why would you get rid of Baty when Escobar is here on a 1+1 deal? Baty is a 3B.

Ouch. I think their woes have to do with roster construction, not getting defensive OFs when Harper can't play the field is hurting them bad, Bohm I think they expected more from such a high draft pick by now, while the bullpen is improved from last year it's still nothing to write home about and talent wise the organization is shallow. They got nobody behind the current starters who fill in competently when they are unavailable. Oh well, glad it's them and not us. lol

They need to survive Buehler tonight and Urias tomorrow. Offense needs to show up and hopefully the pitching holds that Dodgers lineup.
