Ballard doesn’t really splash like that in free agency. Been like that since he came in.:yeshrug: Honestly, bargain gets and the draft is where he’s really licking his chops.
I think Ballard would've flexed his muscle and made a power play (Trent Williams, Kenny Golladay) if he was 100% certain at QB, but he can't really afford to do that until Wentz proves it in that uniform.

The Chiefs are in on every big name because their margin for error is basically irrelevant with Dr. Manhattan at QB.

As a Phins fan I'm loving this move. Hopefully he wins the starting job early in the season.:lolbron:
I mean as far as back ups go you can do a lot worse. He's an upgrade over Matt damn Barkley.
Pretty much every team in the league is fukked if their starter goes down. Except probably Miami :lolbron:

The Jacoby Brissett signing is the best off season move this year.
I think at some point though you gotta let Tua sink or swim. My worry with Brissett coming in is Tua get pulled a few times
or loses the starting job altogether and it further stunts his growth and hurts his confidence.

Unless Tua stinks really really bad, he ain’t gotta worry about Brissett taking his starting job.

He's a good security net and at a good price. Just think that the Bills gave Mitch $2.5 million more and we already know he sucks ass. Brissett is at the very least capable and the Dolphins are still rebuilding. Don't let the 10-6 record fool you. More progress is needed.

Mitch put up "capable" numbers last year. He just isn't a starter

Trubisky got less money than Brissett and has produced better than him in his career IMO. Mitch just happens to be a bust relative to where he was drafted.

He was a good pickup by the Bills IMO. He should be one of, if not the best backups in the league tbh. Who has a better backup QB? Maybe Tyrod Taylor with the Chargers, and they are probably on a similar level. Maybe Im missing someone else - but guys like Jameis & Fitz are starters now?

Mitch sucks because he is a bust. 2nd overall pick, ahead of Watson/Mahomes but on pure production hes low level starter / good backup.

He also has a similar play style to Josh Allen, if he needs to ever step in, they shouldn't have to alter their play calling too much.

Hes certainly an upgrade over Matt Barkley :yeshrug:

They better draft one :pachaha:

If I'm Lamar Jackson I wouldn't resign abd eventually test free agency :yeshrug:

Ravens are another team like the Packers and Seattle who haven't shown they're willing to go above abd beyond for their franchise QB.

Now Russ and Rodgers would love to be playing elsewhere but cant because they're locked up. Lamar has a chance here to control his destiny when the time comes
