They bout to strongarm Mac Jones into that starting job lol

also they’re going full court press to get Cam out of here. Dwayne Haskins looked good last night, why is there no “will Dwayne Haskins start over Ben this year”:ohhh:

:russ: Am I tripping? Where we watching the same game? But Mac Jones looked like a rookie

He didn’t look great he didn’t look spectacular he looked how you expect a rookie to look against the bench and 3rd string players lol

Do people really not like Cam like that?

Mac will get ate up if they start him. Smh.

:dahell: yall talking about.
There are throws Mac can make that Cam cant.
Whats it matter if he was going against 2nd teamers he was also out there with 2nd stringers himself for the most part.
Hes a better passer than scam and it shows and he'll start before the season is over its a foregone conclusion. So go head get it out the way and give MacBook the reigns now.
Aint nobody hyping him up or riding his nuts they just looking at things for what they are.

dudes still holding out hope that Cam arm isnt shot to hell and that he gonna make throws consistently

but he will be the starter, i think Bill feel like he probably owe that to Cam. unless Mac was completely running circles around him in practice/game Cam still has the keys

Because Cam was a worse QB last year than Big Ben and it wasn’t even close.

While you’re right, Ben has been pretty ass lately and is partly why The Steelers aren’t doing better than they have been doing. These people have been trying to get Cam out of here for years now so I don’t care at this point. It does make me laugh about that white man that told Will Grier to his face that Carolina is his team now and you’re taking over when Cam is done next year.. We see how that worked out:mjlol: Ben is old anc wishy washy. These talking heads swear they preseason means nothing, but gassed Mac up after a couple good throws that weren’t caught. They better hope that don’t happen more with Mac cause it happened with Cam.

It's really funny seeing the narrative pushed in real time. I don't know how you could decipher from two series that Cam was bad, man barely played and only had 38 less yards than Mac playing against the ones when Mac had 19 pass attempts and couldn't get over 100 yards against backups. Cam got the ball out quick and found his screens/crossers, typical Pats offense that was in a rhythm before the hold. That play with Chase Young was not his fault, dude was in the backfield before Cam completed his drop.

Now Mac didn't play bad at all either, I actually thought he was solid. But of course the media has to hype him up to no end. He'll probably get his chance but damn just let things play out lol

It's only been one season game, but there is no way you can walk away after watching that game and think that either:

1. Cam took a step forward.

2. Mac Jones did not close the gap.

I don't care who starts as I believe BeliGOAT will make the best decision for the team. It's comical seeing fans and people here "supporting" Cam all of a sudden.:mjlol:.

We know why that is though.:mjpls:.

At the end of the day, it was only one pre-season game, but Mac Jones looked pretty good, and Cam did not do anything to pull away.:yeshrug:.

Or you could take it for what it is, the first preseason game where the starters barely played against vanilla schemes and the backups got most of the reps

Cam had seven pass attempts in two series. Three were designed screens (two due to a holding that killed the drive) while one was a throw away on the bootleg. An 11 yard dig to Jakobi Meyers, a quick drag to Jonnu Smth for 14 yards and an incompletion from the Chase Young play that wasn't his fault. 4/7 for 49 yards driving down the field before a holding call killed the drive. He didn't light it up but he wasn't bad either

Mac was straight and showed promise but he wasn't setting the world on fire last night. Everyone else played so little it's silly to really have any true takeaways on them. The next two preseason games will tell a lot more
