DMV is not considered the south either.

Anything past Richmond is very much south.

I lived in Virginia Beach for two years and ran an unscientific poll in Fall 2017, asking people I knew and worked with if they considered Tidewater VA (aka 757) the South...

Again, no science to it, but only about a third of people I asked considered the region southern or part of the South. Take that for what it's worth---->it's a transient region so not everyone I polled was from the area or from Virginia at all...

It was surprising and kind of interesting that ~60%-plus residents didn't consider themselves southern, or 757 as in the South...

Honestly the south really start in Fredericksburg if we keeping it a buck. That’s the first time shyt start feeling like MAGA country when you driving down 95.

So a half-day after posting this thread, the results say 58.8% of Coli posters are from the Northeast and South. Seems a little high though I do think those two regions represent majority of the board, I just think it's closer to 50%...

The founders were from NY I believe so the board is rooted in the Northeast. That's my only guess...
