People should realize by now that wrestling contracts aren't worth the paper that they are printed on as you can be released at any point and time. Case in point, Chelsea Green who recently signed a 3 year extension with WWE yet still got the axe.

You can always sign someone to a short term deal and then let them go/not resign them if it doesn't work out.
