I think it's more like documentation. Like now he can get gis story out first before she comes with the lies.

My only issue is how did he not know she was lazy before he moved her and her kids into his house. He set himself up for failure a lazy hoe go always be lazy and highly Likely she was cheating and you was just a roof for her and her kids.
