Based off what I've seen on Twitter, seems like the Brewers made out great in this and Oakland should've gotten more/ must think Ruiz is way better than what the rest of the industry thinks.

He is going in but you know he has to make up for lost time. How long have the Mets been the butt of jokes to the baseball crowd? Sometimes warranted sometimes not, regardless it's payback time. lol

He’s making up for lost time for sure, and he’s following the Dodgers blueprint. They initially had to come off paper heavy, and as the farm developed, they were able to be more judicious about where they spent. Cohen has said he wants to emulate that model. I believe the scouting and drafting is going to be bolstered considerably.
