They're peaking at the right time. I see us as this year's darkhorse team, we match up well against any team except Astros/Dodgers. And we wont play the rays at the trop aka hell for toronto. 90% sure we will be playing seattle at home in the wildcard best of three round(the home team will host all three games)Blue jays
Positives: very good offense. We have a very good and balanced batting orderfrom 1-9.even the bottom of the lineup delivers(merrifield tapia Jansen Kirk)
Solid pitching (gausman, the young alex manoah and ross stripling the latter is probably the revelation of the year in the majors- what a pleasant surprise)
great depth at the catcher position. Moreno, kirk and Jansen. All 3 are easily quality starting catchers on other teams. I expect shatkins to deal one of them for a second baseman or a starting pitcher in the winter
Comeback team(jays lead the league with the most come from behind wins this year)
Great bullpen(jordan romano etc)
Negatives: this team is young still immature and lacks experience/composure. Our 4th and 5th pitchers are struggling this season( kikuchi and berrios)
Question marks: John schneider who knows how he will manage in the playoffs. Pitching rotations etc

The format was awful. Before 1994, you had to win your division just to make the playoffs.Lol i remember as a kid when only 4 teams made the playoffs
1993 san francisco giants with prime barry bonds(NL MVP that year, 46 homers) had a 103-59 record and finished 2nd in the NL West- 1 game behind the 104-58 Atlanta Braves. The braves won the NL West and made the playoffs
1993.montreal expos finished 94-68 just 3 games shy of the 1993 phillies who won the national league east division with a 97-65 record. By winning their division, Philly qualified for the postseason.
If they played in 2022 the 1993 expos and giants would easily make the playoffs.
