So we just gonna ignore the fact that the Raptors won the chip in 2019 against a great Warriors team :comeon:
The 2019 raptors are the exception to Toronto sports

Usually this city is cursed when it comes to professional sports

Heck the raps are the only Toronto team that is defense first… the flashy run and gun maple leafs and the flashy long ball happy Blue Jays are all about offense, they are average-mediocre defensively, are weak mentally and are chokers in playoffs…imploding in the worst ways at the wrong time
Typical regular season wonders
And typical playoff chokers

Leafs haven’t won a playoff series in 19 years
Missed the playoffs 9 Times in 10 years
Haven’t won the Stanley cup since 1967
Haven’t made the Stanley cup finals since 1967
Have never won 3 playoff rounds in the same playoff year ever

Jays haven’t made the World Series since 1993
Have missed the playoffs 22 straight years(1993-2015)
Have won the AL east once in 30 years
Haven’t won a playoff game in 6 years, since October 18 2016( game 4 of the alcs, the Cleveland indians had a 3-0 lead already, we lost in 5 )

Raptors got destroyed by cavs three straight playoffs (lebronto)
Raptors haven’t won any playoff series between 2001 and 2016
Brutal Back to back first round losses to fossil Paul pierce led teams(wizards/nets)
Regular season heroes and playoff losers until nick nurse/kawhi/green/gasol

Thank God/Jesus that Masai traded demar for kawhi and valunciunas for Marc gasol in that championship year…. We lose in round 2 to Philly without them

Ever since this moment, the Yankees won the division in Toronto (with Judge's 61st record-tying HR) and the Mariners eliminated the Blue Jays from the 'offs.........in Toronto :wow:

I was watching earlier and it looked like the Jays had this :hhh:

This is only the 3rd time in mlb history that a team blew a 7-run or more lead in the playoffs.

Game 4 of the 1929 World Series Philadelphia athletics vs Chicago cubs… cubs led 8-0 and lost 10-8

2008 alcs -game 5 red sox vs rays… Rays led 7-0 and lost 8-7

Tonight… Toronto led 8-1 until the top of the 6th, we lose the game 10-9

As a Jays and Leafs fan... That loss was equal to the 4-1 choke in 2013 vs Boston Bruins.

Toronto has seen some historic playoff losses.

However, the Leaf fan in me has seen so many bad losses and epic choke jobs its literally impossible to feel bad about losses anymore. im numb and immune.

fukk seattle tho :takedat:
