The Lions owed it to their fans and the state of Michigan to make the pick they did. If they didn't pick the hometown kid there would have been a meltdown.

Which is why I was hoping the Jaguars to pick Aidan so this wouldn't be forced the Lions to pick him. I hate the fact they had to pick him cause he's from Michigan Similar to Detroit Pistons drafted Mateen Cleaves but he wasn't that good in the NBA.
