I never got this feeling when it came to drafts.
All drafts have bout the same buzz to me.
Except for when we had the 2nd pick that one was exciting leading up to it
Trevon Walker is my #1 prospect overall in this class. He got the best tapeThey both were elite athletes for their size...that's what a team that drafts Walker is banking on
You have to also look at scheme...his job at UGA was to engage multiple blockers so Dean and the other LBs could make plays
His RAS score I'm sure has GMs salivating...bc if he hits, he'll be a monster
With that said, this is the yr you don't want a #1 pick...I envy the Littles & Jets draft position
I think it's because the NFL needs to move the draft up if there's going to be this much analysis on it. You can't have 3 months of mock drafts and expect people to be intrigued.
That said, I do think it's going to get interesting from the 5th pick forward when it's actually happening. I like it when there's not a lot of consensus, but also a lot of talent. There's a lot of defensive talent and WR talent up for grabs this year.

I agree. I also think the lack of good QBs this year is a problem. The Mayfield/Allen Draft was a big big deal.

The Baker draft was interesting because of Lamar to me. Not because of Baker or Allen.
I'm pretty sure we're going to see the same Lamar style interest with Malik, but also there's going to be a lot of surprises. I'm mostly just ready for it to start. You can only do so much analysis.
There's no clear cut #1 and no clear cut elite QB prospects, so the dead-air between the combine and draft seems particularly flat this time around.
That's never dictated how good a class will be though, that's one of the best parts about it in the long run.

I don’t think there are gonna be a lot of superstars outta this draft but it’s gonna be a deep draft with a lot of long term starters in it.
Thibodeaux is an interesting prospect to me because he has a lot of talent but I don’t see him playing past the second year in his first big contract. He comes off like football is just a means to an end and I can’t hate on him for that….

I know I know. I think it's because I've see the mock drafts and there's little movement. I don't think Pickett is a round one guy.
