Top Gun and Avatar are both worthy of Best Pic noms. The Batman got snubbed for cinematography but deserved all these tech noms for sure. 
Black Panther got an Oscar nom for Best Picture in 2019. Angela Bassett has a GREAT chance of becoming the first MCU actress to win an Oscar THIS year. I’m not sure what you’re attempting to get at.

yes..CBMs get noms all the time. Two different actors have won Best Actor for their portrayal of Joker.
Not for the big 4 though. It's pretty damn rare for best actor, actress, supporting, or picture to be from comic canon. Especially considering the amount of comic films there are.

pretty sure 4 movies have done that now. 2 from DC and 2 from Marvel.
That is a shockingly low amount of movies in 94 years and countless movies though...

Top Gun was a good movie.
It's not a movie that deserves Best Picture, but I did enjoy watching it.
Best Picture is All Quiet on the Western Front -- and it shouldn't even be close. It should also win Best Cinematography.
Everything Everywhere All At Once getting all those nominations is preposterous. It almost seems like it has some kind of "Stop Asian Hate" booster. I can't understand the hype about this movie at all. And yes I went back and finished it. I remain unimpressed.
It's hard to see anyone stealing Best Actor from Brendan Frasier. He may legitimately deserve it though.
