What are some good Bold Predictions for the year?

before Raw begins tonight to kick off Wrestlemania season and somethings are revealed

-FTR goes back to the E and forms a stable with Cody, trying to do something like the Horsemen/Pinnacle.

-Sasha wrestles in Japan.

-American Dragon wins the AEW title.

-Dragon Lee debuts on E tv. Possibly forming an alliance with a returning Andrade.

Roman Reigns ends 2023 still in his current reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion

If Rock Can't compete, Cody will face Roman and beat him then next night, bring back a more traditional looking WWE Title belt that will represent the new HHH era of WWE similar to when he brought back the White IC title belt.

Sami Zayn will face Roman at "Elimination Chamber" in Montreal and lose but still have that rare "big fight feel" like Drew had in England. Naomi should return and screw Sami in his hometown.

Naomi is joining "The Bloodline" similar in the Mia Yim role once Sami is kicked out to keep the big star momentum up like when Xpac joined DX when Shawn had to leave.

I'm calling it, someone will have an Andrew Tate or Kevin Samuels Manosphere type gimmick debuting this year. I bet HBK plays with the idea with someone in NXT

Bianca is going to take some time away after losing the title this year. She's been going strong each week since the Pandemic hit and will make room for another babyface to emerge in her spot till she comes back.

Randy Orton will return and have a title program with little brother Cody (if Randy can go in real life) You know Randy wants to put Cody over now that he's likely the franchise of the company.

Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker both will be the young rookies of the year and should be in the MITB match

Romans reign will continue going into 2024

The rock will win the royal rumble

Naomi will return to WWE and join the bloodline

Carmelo Hayes will def. Bron breakker for the nxt title and bron will move up

The WWE powers that be will sell their soul and give Sasha banks the contract and incentives she wants

Bianca Belair will drop the title at WrestleMania and everyone here will claim she's been buried

 

[Reality Check]

1) We'll see more defections from AEW that leads to TK truly reshuffling the deck and elevating homegrown/underutilized talent (Starks, Hobbs, Wardlow, Darby, Ethan Page, Private Party, Silver/Reynolds) to more consistent Main Event Level programs

2) Swerve Strickland will be a Main Eventer by the start of 2024 (TK needs to strap the rocket to his back)

3) WWE's new TV deals will be announced and will be somewhere in the $300-350 million per year range with NBC outbidding FOX to air Smackdown live on Friday nights starting in 2024.

4) AEW's new TV deal will be in the $100-$120 million per year range from Warner
4a) AEW will have their own streaming service by the end of 2023
4b) Rampage will either go live or be restructured to draw better ratings

5) ROH will find a new home on one of the Discovery properties or even their new app (not sure if Discovery+ is being folded into HBOMax or vice versa, but that is where their new home outside of Honor Club will be)

6) Triple H is going to run into the same problem Tony Khan is having with accumulating talent and not doing anything with them, leading to a deavors season that involves people he just brought back (i.e. Hit Row, Tegan Nox)
6a) The Triple H running the show Honeymoon will officially be dead by June

7) Jade Cargill will be AEW Women's Champ by December 2024
7a) 2023 is the year AEW's womens division finally is cohesive and putting together more consistently good matches/storylines
7b) Charlotte Flair will be a 20-time champ by December 2024

8) WWE will finally get their "NXT's NXT" developmental show going on the network to help better prepare new talent for live television
8a) NXT Europe or NXT Mexico will be up and running

- Rampage will be moved to either another time or day and time
- ROH library will be added to HBO Max or whatever it will be called
- Vince will continue to try and rejoin WWE
- Breakker, Hayes, Trick, Wagner, Waller, Hartwell will join the main roster
- Triple H will release one of his resigned talent
- Triple H and WWE will be as they were pre pandemic and sign any talent walking
- Michael Cole continues his renaissance to the point people will look at him as one of the greatest commentators in wrestling
- Raw's announce team changes again
- Becky takes a break from wrestling to pursue more acting jobs
- Bianca officially becomes the John Cena of the women's division
- WWE partners with AAA and makes an attempt with partnering with NJPW

WWE will continue to be boring as fukk with Roman still holding the titles while they desperately search for someone to rid us of this mediocrity

not sure how there's still the perception of a HHH honeymoon, they've done some really poor ratings for Raw and most people on here criticize his decision making

- Miro and Andrade will be back in WWE

- Roman Reigns loses both titles at WrestleMania and takes a break for the rest of 2023

- The Undisputed Title is renamed as the WWE Championship and a new World Championship will be created

- The Ricky Starks/Jericho feud goes on too long and Starks cools off

- AEW Women’s Division eclipses WWE’s at some point this year, booking going in opposite directions being the main catalyst for that

- Bobby Lashley and Gunther will face off at a PLE/Hurt Business vs Imperium at War Games

Tony Khan will finally say no to a Chris Jericho idea Chris doesn’t know how to handle it and decides to go on a Fozzy tour. AEW wrestlers near the main event scene breathe a sigh of relief they don’t get to be stuck in a months long feud with the JAS
