It's a poor way to build a team. Get the lines taken care of first. They already drafted a WR in the first the previous draft.
It's a lot easier to get a top flight WR lower in the draft or free agency than it is to get a starting left tackle.

I don’t think the Jets are gonna truly bottom out because they are too talented not to, and the schedule in the back end is a joke but they’re probably not making the playoffs. I see 8-9 in their horizon.
