2026 could be a chance for Dems to regain the majority in the senate. Realistically they could flip Maine and kick Susan Collins' concerned ass out the door. They have strong candidates for NC and KY in term limited Governors (Cooper and Beshear respectively) that have won state-wide races before.

2026 is an amazing map for senate democrats, just as 2024 was supposed to be an amazing map for senate republicans. If republicans fail to take the senate this year it'll be thanks to the insanely bad candidates he hand selected like Kari Lake (AZ) and Mike Rogers (MI). The republican candidate in Ohio looks like he's imploding too, due to some insane comments on abortion.
