here is my hot take: don't cancel it.

do a pre-recorded one that removes all of the misses, get bigger names and only show what they feel are their best dunks and just have some dunking legends rate them and give their kneejerk reactions.

whether you have a live audience with no phones or not on you. but the way it is now with a g-leaguer winning 2 years in a row isn't exactly some "pure" form of dunk contest anyway. might as well try and get these stars to actually be willing to compete and show what they're capable of.
