Yea, the intermissions/timeout breaks were waaay too long (pause). End result is players sitting idly/cooling down, then expecting them to ramp back up?

Bad idea. Also, let’s not act like Target Score didn’t seem like the greatest thing ever 5 years ago. That was one of the best all star games ever. In retrospect it was less about the format and more about the players taking the game seriously

They should just go back to East vs West, bush the gimmicks, and obviously the one unexplored incentive is to just pay the players much more (1mil+) for winning the game, but keep the pot the current amount for losing (low 6 figures).
