Jameis got a backup Qb contract. I would be surprised if the giants still brought in Russ to be the starter

Definitely impressive, and arguably the two best WR’s in the NFL. However, even though that statistic may be true, it’s a little deceiving as the longer you play, the back end years of a career will usually be much lower yardage production.

Either way, both elite WR’s and on a HOF path.

TYRONE GA!
Hmm, I don't think signing Jameis means a team is out on drafting a QB. If anything, it seems more like a move you'd make if you were drafting one as opposed to if they would have signed Russ.

Jameis makes for a good BlackUp QB in case the Giants take Shadeur. That way their :mjpls: fans won't be crying to put in the backup if Shadeur struggles. The Ravens were the masters at this.

as a 9ers fan i would love this.

I still don't get why they paid him. Granted the injury probably creates an unfair situation where we can't discuss it without it being a hindsight argument but even if he didn't injured I didn't understand the deal. The Niners had to know last season was the last shot before major changes needed to happen. Why pay a receiver in that context.
