I hate this type of discourse so much lol... you literally can do it to any QB who was view as talented/early round talent but had an uneven start to career
it doesnt even say anything....there are far more QBs who had the exact same trajectory but ended up NOT being like Manning.
its like how every QB with accuracy problems gets compared to josh allen on some "but theres hope because josh allen did it", and yet how many have actually improved on those accuracy issues ?
its so fukking lazy. also, Peyton even in his uneven years was recognized as an extremely cerebral QB who had full control of the offense. Herbert is nowhere close to that. Also Peyton started off in one of the most defense-dominated periods of the NFL when Ravens, Bucs and Pats would win with their defense.
