Are we really hyping up preseason performances?

People always say this but if any of these players suck in the same preseason they go in on how sorry they were. People tailor their preseason discourse based on what happens. Like how if a team starts the regular season sorry people will say they should’ve played in the preseason.. but if they ball out in the preseason, people say it’s just the preseason… with that being said I hate the preseason lol

I mean that makes sense. Preseason is lesser competition with vanilla play calls. If somebody looks bad in preseason against that then it's assumed they'll look bad against better regular season competition.
