This dude got the weirdest strategies. I been tryna put him on game since we started the league 12 yrs ago. Somehow he made it to the playoffs in our 16 team league with 4 Raiders (his favorite team) in his rotation

I don't think it's about him as much as it's a coaching philosophy. Raheem Morris is doing the same thing with Penix, both he and KOC got their current gigs after working with McVay and he started the trend of not giving starters any snaps period.

I get that but JJ is coming off a season ending injury and has like no real game time play.

I wouldn't be shocked if he looks like ass for most of the season. but who knows, would be hard to look ass throwing to JJ unless you are terrible.

But KOC had McCarthy playing more last preseason in the one game than he had him this year.
At least Penix has starts and in-game reps under his belt from last year.
It may or may not hurt him, but it doesn't seem beneficial to have a guy that's basically a rookie not out there getting live reps running the offense in pre-season more.

The immediate future of the whole organization lies on JJ’s shoulders. Why risk him, especially after him getting hurt last year? Seems kind of wild that you’d want him out there.
