These aren't even close to being HOF numbers:

This might be as dumb as thinking KC needed Tyreek when they won 2 without him.

If Edelman is a HOFer, than Colston should be one (and he has ZERO chance) :pachaha:

I wish he did have a chance, tho. :mjcry:

You scrunching your face and didn't comprehend what I said. I said they needed Tyreek for him to catch Tom. Pat needed to go 3 for 3 to catch Brady.

They lost a Super Bowl against Tom with Tyreek.

They lost in the AFC playoffs to Tom in Patrick's 1st season as a starter.

The SB game was lost because most of the O-line was out with injuries.

The other was lost because Dee Ford was lined up in the neutral zone on the game winning interception.

They were in the Super Bowl last year.

Point is a WR doesn't have the level of impact to determine who wins a ring. They won with Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, MVS, Justin Watson, and Juju. That was the worst WR corp in the playoffs and probably the worst group to win it all in recent history.

Patrick's success is mostly determined by the defense and O-line. Keep him upright with a clean pocket and he wins no matter who he's throwing to.

Did you forget that Brady had a 10 year gap between rings? Patrick has plenty of time to keep winning and his career was always going to outlasts Reek's.

Since you want to be cute and bring stats into it, go see where his playoff rankings are with catches and receiving yards all time, he's only behind Jerry and Kelce, and ahead of Gronk for anyone who's reading with less playoff games than all of them. He's earned it based on how he performed in the playoffs.

I know there are probably a lot of Patriots fans that think Edelman is HOF worthy, but I disagree. I don't care that people think Welker "cost" the Patriots a Super Bowl, but I'd put him in before Edelman without a second thought.

I'm not going to knock Edelman, but he dropped passes in some critical moments that people don't remember or just look past. People focus too much on the contrast between the big catch he had against the Falcons in the Super Bowl and the "drop" (wasn't a drop) that Welker had against the Giants in the Super Bowl. People put far too much stock into rings when it comes to these discussions. You have to be on a TEAM that is in position to even play in those games. I'm not saying Welker will get into the HOF, but I think if people think rationally, it's easier to make an argument for him over Edelman. I know there are Patriots fans here that will disagree with me, but there is not one thing that I believe on the offensive side of the ball that Edelman was better at than Welker. Not a knock on Edelman, but over the years it's become absurd how people, and Patriots fans in particular try to tear down Welker to prop up Edelman.

Welker was an absolute beast that took some MASSIVE hits, and always went out there and produced. Easily one of my all-time Patriots favorites.

Oh, and since I saw @b. woods posting in here, I just want to let him know that Welker >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Slant Boy. :banderas: .

You do know there are players in the hall of fame who were never Pro Bowlers, right? You posted that gif like I said unicorns exist.

:russ:

And Pat's success was tied to how well Kelce played. He was the reason they were able to survive with shyt receivers sans Tyreek.

He made the Pro Bowl 6 times.
:skip:
Oh I thought he we were talking about all-pro. Crazy that he doesn’t have a single pro bowl, even cats like Mac Jones have one at least. I guess he played in an extremely stacked WR era. And also rarely played full seasons

The schedule for games actually looks pretty good this week. Other than the Browns v.s. Jets, none of the games look bad on paper.
