I feel like I can get this take off in this thread. There's too many OCs in the NFL who call plays based on players potential and theories instead of reality of the people on their team.

I'm not sure if Kliff can be a solid HC, but he has a solid chance to be the OC version of Spags. Being an OC is a combination of art and science, but definitely more art than this current batch of OCs employ. This season has been full of nasty offensive structure. A lot of them are not trying to call plays to put their players in the right position. They're calling plays that are the technically correct according to the numbers and you can tell if you're paying attention. I fukking hate it.

This should be a thread on its own. Everyone always critiquing QB play yet there's brehs on the Coli that can call better games than half of the OCs in the league. A lot of these Cac OCs are simply nepo babies. This need to be discussed more.

They should separate OC from Playcaller

Play caller should just be some Madden nerd. They in the booth not on the field. And they can get fired all the time because they have no relationship with the players.

OC actually coordinates the offense and designs everything.
