New kickoff rules stink and are overly harsh.
I think most neutral parties were hoping for a OT finish last night. But the game ended very anticlimactic because the new rule essentially gifted Seattle the game. NFL always gets too fckn cute with some of these rules.

Orrrrr teams could stop trying to get cute with the kickoffs and just kick it normal to avoid getting that penalty. Instead doing a direct kick and letting a return happen they're trying to kick to empty spots with spin. The rule will have the intended effect.

Kliff Kingsbury with either choice of Josh, Lamar, or Pat would actually be considered an actual cheat code.
He reminds me of how creative Kyle Shanahan used to be with RG3 before he got PTSD from coaching Atlanta in the Super Bowl followed by Jimmy G.
I think that Kliff statement could also apply to Mike McDaniel.....some of the best coaching + player combinations never happen in the way that they should because ridiculous front office loyalty.
If I had a wish I'd wish for:
1. Pat + Steichen
2. Lamar + Kliff
3. Josh + McDaniel
Those would be the most fun combination of OC + QB to watch. Those three are all stuck with head coaches who are in over their head. Yes. That includes Andy.
