Has Nova Scotia surpassed Quebec for hockey talent?

In recent years yes. We are the second largest province in Canada yet we produce such trash players. Every year for the last 5-6, less Quebec players are being drafted in the first round and almost none make Canada World Junior rosters. In This year's CHL Memorial Cup, hosted by Rimouski, Quebec; both Quebec teams were out in round one and the final was played by Medicine Hat, Alberta and London, Ontario.

I remember back in the day Quebec had Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo, Raymond Bourque, Simon Gagne, Claude Lemieux, Daniel Briere, Pierre Turgeon, etc. The last great one was Patrice Bergeron.

Alex Lafreniere has been a huge bust. Some French media people were suggesting trading Caufield for him at one point.:scust:

Ontario are way more ahead of us than ever. If they were a country, they be a favorite to win Gold. Just the Toronto region alone would be a great hockey country. Alberta and British Columbia have passed us too.

Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, and New York produce better players than Quebec too.
