Why do these fukking protestors want their mayor to have such a stance on this issue?
The protestor has a point. Another protestor called AOC out for being a war criminal a while back and she has yet to answer for this. Mr Zohrans silence is deafening.

I support protest and Zohran I think handles himself well as he could considering he’s running for a job that by nature is the head of a corrupt system in NYC
But I gotta say I’m getting tired that these folk are only targeting people like Zohran. He’s legit one of the most pro Palestinian politicians in the country. He’s not their enemy! That girl even is questioning him as a Muslim

the frustration is understandable considering most politicians are sellouts. people of conscience are tired, and are reaching their breaking point with electoral politics.
that being said, i dont know why a mayor's race has to have so much foreign policy involved. all that Israel virtue signaling during the debate and now this...they should be focused on corruption and making the city livable for working class people.

. All the lefties I talked to around NYC are huge Zohran supporters and also spent weeks complaining that AOC hadn't endorsed him yet (the leftist debates around her endorsement were between people who thought she was a sellout and people who believed she was timing her endorsement). None of the lefties in NYC, that I've seen, treated AOC's endorsement as toxic like this woman did.
People on here talk about progressive's negatively. But what they really are looking at is the Crash Out Left. Which is a very small percentage of the left that needs to have everything be exactly perfect.
Their hearts are in the right place and they're very useful for certain things but they don't understand how power is welded in this country which prevents the progress they're clamoring for.

At a certain point you have to start asking if these folks are paid Russian/Repub actors. Hate to go the cynical conspiracist route but for folks to be narrow mindedly driven by this issue and ignore everything else is a bit odd, even though I agree with stiff punishment for Israel too.
Do most of them happen to have coli accounts? It would explain a lot if so.

The people protesting Zohran are not politically serious imo. I don't really give them much credence from a political strategy perspective, and they're actually probably doing him a strategic favor by making his position seem more moderate. He gave a pitch perfect answer on that morning show about why he doesn't support Israel existing as an ethnostate. He should just keep moving forward.

One can defend the righteous activism/protests against Israel's genocide of the Palestinians and the United States government's complicity in that genocide while also criticizing the molehill nitpicking of two random individuals. You're comparing an entire protest movement to the actions of these two unknown individuals purportedly within the movement.
