Oh come on man let’s not get too crazy here:whoa:
Bro isn’t a serious person. Nothing about Adams is liberal. He and Bill have nothing on common. Dude is just suffering from mental illness and has become progressively angrier over the years.

Older black and Latino voters are what are described in outreach guides as “name brand” voters if you’ve ever been inside of a campaign. They’re also reliably Democrats and will go with who the party seems to be pushing. Our people vote for who they know. It’s the same reason Eric Adams won. It’s honestly depressing how it’s a combination of brand recognition and being afraid that good things can happen because they never do. The only time we deviated from that was Obama in 08. In every other occasion, our people over 40 have sided with the biggest brand name to start. You have to run a masterful campaign to counteract that institutional bias.

Progressives also struggle with those groups because a lot of being a progressive is religious and culture freedom and they’re not comfortable going to the church or other places where older black voters and Latinos congregate. For example, the Sanders campaign in 2020 was explicitly based on the premise that he couldn’t win them over - he never had a strategy to win the majority. He tried to run the Trump playbook of winning the plurality in every state until democrats just consolidated the centrist wing against him. He wasn’t robbed - he just has no pathway to victory without the vote being split. For a progressive to win NYC mayor you would need multiple centrists basically battling over the vote competitively. That’s why centrists pop shyt - they can rely on the vote of voters of color over 45 and that will win them most elections.

The Mayor of NYC will likely be Andrew Cuomo

Why people keep thinking Mamdani is Obama or even AOC is beyond me but lessons will be learned this year and during the mid terms, just like lessons were learned last November.

I like mamdani, I think he has a lot of charisma, he really knocked it out the park with that Israel question, if he wasn't a socialist he would be an Obama.

That's one thing about people like clinton and Obama, they start eying center positions when they are very young.

It's probably to late now but If mamdani shifted to the right he can go places

It’s true though lol. I love my people. Wouldn’t want to be anything else but just like I hate a lot of our materialism (and I get why) - I hate voting for the selected name brand Dem like it’s our gang affiliation. Cuomo is dead ass a Republican. Like you don’t even have to be as progressive as me but damn b.
