cuomo shouldn't have reentered as a independent after losing the primary, but he's still a former state governor, polling in second
sliwa shouldn't be in the race at all, but he's technically just the opposing party
adams totally crashed out and lost his party's support, but the sitting incumbent mayor has every right to run again

anyone supporting adams, cuomo, or sliwa, is rejecting mamdani. everyone knows this. if 1 or 2 of them drop out, their votes go to the last non-mamdani candidate left, or those voters stay home
