It’s a Freshman List. They’re not stars almost by definition.
The kids I coach in football know these rappers as well as many others who never get mentioned here.

Nah we gotta be real. Rap buzz shorter than running back careers and their young audience gives up on them fast as fukk if they not feeling it anymore.

I did a quick run through of 20-24 and doechii rod wave and glorilla are the only ones I would consider rap superstars from those list.

I tend to "keep my ears to the street" off The Coli.

I haven't heard any of these except for Ray and Gelo.

I haven't seen any of those names posted here.

It's scary cause these creeped up and I feel out of touch.

But this XXL list alot of times the emcees don't pan out to be goats.

I'm grateful they make this list. But Does it mean anything? What metrics do they use?

@LevelUp bumped literally every single thread previously made for these rappers to the front page and the majority not only had threads made about them here but had people fukking with them.

Tbh, this is probably one of the best/most reflective classes they've had in a while.


And seeing a lot of the nikkas here look at this list and automatically dismiss them or even outright hate is weird as fukk. nikkas even made a whole thread patting each other on the back and being mad at people for being in touch
