Its good for nominations but it doesn’t bode well for any of them to actually win because of vote splitting.

A rap album hasn’t won AOTY in twenty one years. I was hoping Kendrick would end that this go round but its looking less likely.

Yeah, seemed like there was a lot of momentum for Tyler to get a nod, so not surprised by his nom, but very surprised by Clipse. Think they're a bigger threat to split some of the votes than Tyler.

Clipse getting a AOTY nom is a welcome surprise. I was ready to flip if they didn’t get SOTY nod for “Birds Don’t Sing” but I can’t be that mad since they got a nomination for the big one. Clipse def deserves rap AOTY.
