The simple answer is demographics. White men (and the women married to them) will mostly vote Republican. Then you add the fact that we imported conservative cultures over the past 20 years. In fact, Latino men are on track to be the GOP's largest non white base. The groups that consitently vote dem (black, LGBTQ etc.) have low birth rates compared to those who vote republican. America will remain conservative for the forseeable future. The only thing keeping it somewhat competitive is women generally voting democrat. I could see that changing though as more and more women opt for money and security instead of politics to keep minorities safe. It's why one of the republican strategies at the moment is flooding social media and online spaces with influencers who try to push the whole "trad wife aesthetic". Why protest for human rights if you can just be a stay at home mom who has everything handed to her? Just marry a conservative chauvinist...... he will be able to provide for you.

In 2028 most of the minorities who stayed home or voted Trump for the first time will flip back to dem IMO
The next Republican nominee won’t have the same appeal as Trump to generate turnout either

Trump appeals to the non black-minorities that want to be cool with what black people. What they lack is the black experience which is why they fall for his con. Once Trump is gone they’ll stop supporting Republicans at the same rate. No other Republican has the same juice Trump has

These are both very naive takes IMO. People aren't "falling" for anything, they're knowingly voting for white supremacy.
A lot of Gen Z have been social media'd into being Hitler youths and the economy being bad will probably just radicalize them even more. We'd all like to think this shyt will end when Trump goes away but I doubt it. They'll probably just rally around whoever they see as the next Trump.
