If Florida flips it'll be off the back of black voters. We always say "black people are not a monolith" but if you're a black american then there is a shared cultural experience that varies based on where you live. A latino could be a Cuban, a Guatamalan, a Spaniard, or even a mf from Chile. Dems arent winning that voting bloc until they accept there is no catch all policy that will appeal to latinos, but they can piss them off with shyt like latinx (which I dont think has been relevant in politics since 2020)

You don’t need to catch all policy for Latinos.

I’m not saying Latinos will become reliable Dem voters but for this 2026 midterm, it’s a referendum on Trump/GOP policy towards Latinos.

The fact Alligator Alcatraz in Florida is the loudest call to who this is for.

You not winning florida without the Latino vote, and shyt like LatinX isnt why Latinos flipped they flipped the same reason the whole country flipped the last 15 years which is due to republican framing and conditioning and lack of democrat response. Republicans have been building Latin coalitions that go out there to lie and slander democrats in Spanish, they claim democrats are communist socialist etc

While some former failed candidates are courting the economically anxious, others are honing in on the base

It’s called politics and trying to persuade people. Bad faith actors like Kirk are gonna exist and be huge wheter or not a dem goes on there or not so you might as well use them in hopes to maybe change a mind or two

The far lefts purity contest and not wanting to engage with anyone with differing opinions on any level is not gonna win general elections
