I think this is smoke/mirrors. A lot of players get flagged for minor injuries during the combine. It rarely gets reported because guys have been training since the college season ended and don't have time to get their knee cleaned out or whatever. I called this months ago and people didn't believe me. Downs is gonna fall because teams will overthink the pick. And every year certain media members just so happen to blindly run with stories that hurt players while elevating others.
The NFL keeps getting DB/nickel hybrids wrong. Either they hand wring over someone not being athletic enough (see: Brian Branch, Malaki Starks) or a guy is too athletic and gets dinged as a workout warrior who might not figure shyt out (see: Nick Emmanwori). End result is that guys fall in the draft and end up balling out.
If Downs falls to 13 the Rams are gonna take him. And if they don't, the Lions will take him at 17. He's probably the best player in the draft....make the pick.

I see him going to the Commanders at 1.07 or Chiefs at 1.09
