No surprise at all regarding Sinners. DP, Composer, Actor/Actresses, Director, Set Design all brought their S tier game. Hollywood needed something, anything to prop itself up against Sinners cause we can't be winning everything. People have the nostalgia glasses on with Anderson.

Nominees better than last year's. Wish they showed a little more love to 28 Years Later and Warfare for the technicals, especially sound. But I get it, this year was competitive 
It was so fukkin disposable. Not a single unique idea in the entire film lolF1 best picture….
Coogler will win Best Director and be the first black person to win it. PTA will not win for One Battle After Another because some people are complaining about Teyana Taylor being a stereotypical ratchet and the movie being a white man's racist objectifying fantasy. Too much of a perfect storm for the Oscars to finally give that award to a black man/woman.

Theres going to be a massive negative push around this movie getting so many noms.
There is going to be a lot of DEI, Hollywood pandering to Black folks, overrated movie in history, "This years Black Panther", etc takes on twitter/social media the next few years.You can see people pissed already about it right now.
Hope it doesn't overshadow the film in the long run.
Will it be like Get Out or Black Panther? Brehs sort of switched up on the latter (BP) years later. Sinners is better made on a technical level so that gives me hope it will still be thought of highly.

It was a great popcorn movie to see in the theater and I did. But I barely remember anything about it now. lol.

If Sinners wins best picture it will be up there with Green Book and Crash as the worst Best Picture winners of all time. You cannot watch that movie and tell me it's a Best Picture winner.
