Best Picture and Best Director is basically Sinners/Coogler vs OBAA/PTA.
Will the Oscar voters split the victory or winner takes both

Sinners going 1/16 and winning screenplay. We seen this okey doke before

It won’t go 1/16. Besides screenplay i’m predicting Costume Design, Production Design, DEFINITELY score, and Casting.

Editing and Cinematography are in play too but those usually go to the Best Picture winner.

In all i’m realistically seeing 5 wins and a possible 7, which would be respectable. Coogler gets his, Ruth E Carter gets hers, Ludwig Goransson gets his, and Francine Maisler gets hers.

Of course in a fair world Sinners gets Best Picture, Best Director AND Best Song but we don’t live in a fair world, so gotta be realistic.

For those hoping for a miracle in the acting categories, MJB has almost zero chance UNLESS he wins at both SAG and BAFTA, and BAFTA is unlikely as only 5 black men have ever won for Acting in a Leading Performance. Wunmi Mosaku would need to beat out Teyana Taylor and/or Amy Madigan at BAFTA or SAG, which she has better odds than Jordan as she’s a previous BAFTA winner and SAG nominee. Delroy Lindo would HAVE to get a BAFTA nom and win as he wasn’t even nominated at any other precursors

I still havent seen Sinners. MBJ is just a boring actor. Too mechnical, no natural charm

You should watch it. There's a great scene with MBJ teaching a little girl that she should always ask for what she's worth.

I tried watched The Secret Agent. It's streaming on Hulu. I turned it off halfway through the movie. I wasn't feeling for some reason
