Azzi to Dallas - I expected it once Alanna got signed. It's solid. Nothing special. Dallas makes 1 good move an offseason to 4 bad ones. This one is no different. Alanna was a good move. The rest just are okay or bad. Zee Spearman is a nice development pick but nothing to write home about.
Minnesota did the smart thing and took one of the tier 2 ladies. I am not sure she's starting day 1 but she should. The Lani White pick was a perfect eventual replacement for Natasha Hiedeman. They had one of the best drafts.
After an insanely awful free agency where they lost anyone with a pulse. Strangely bring back Ezi. And spend money on players who don't really deserve the value they got, they grab my best value pick in Johnson, they grab my top overall prospect in Fam and while I hate the fits. F it, get the best talent. While I had a high grade on Malonga due to upside, I do have doubts if she can reach it or not but Fam is legit and that's a gem of a pick. But Johnson will feel like the Angel Reese pick. Why didn't we draft her eariler? Then the trade was bad too by GS. GS is always trying to be different. I don't see Grace VanSlooten as a W prospect but it's a 3rd round pick and those barely make rosters. Elite draft by Seattle. Feels like Washington when they took Kiki and Sonia with Flau'jae and Fam.
Washington does what they been doing for years. Drafting over their other picks. They are the true definition of, we gonna draft or sign your replacement. I like Betts for the same reason. Austin wants to play games. We got something for you. They had a nice draft, not quite the quality of last year but it was deep and Roni when they got her was good value.
Chicago was 2nd for me. Jaquez, Morgan, and while I have doubts on Lattimore, if she can be developed, watch out. Great draft
I hate the drafts for both Portland and Toronto. I am extremely down on Rice and felt Martin was a massive reach as well. I liked the German. Decent on Key. Meh overall. I wasn't high on GS draft last year either.
Golden State traded their pick for Martin who they reached for in my eyes. I did love the Ashlon Jackson pick. Don't know the Japanese PG
I felt Indy had a great night with Raven and Pissot. Not the highest on Timmons.
Liberty took Pouch who's a couple years away but it's a 3rd rounder
Decent class for the Sun. I like what they did. Nell, Charlisse, Gianna, and Serah. I like it.
The Dream did what they do. Go for what they feel at the best players for what they want to do but Okot was an terrific pick and they had no centers outside of Jones so it was critical to land Okot. The other two, I am not sure about. Indya Nivar, they likely see her as an eventual replacement to Maya Caldwell. No clue on the Chinese PG. Not even sure she's coming over.
Aces cooked with Barker. Obi was decent. Barker was a huge swing for the Aces and it will be interesting to see how she develops with A'ja and crew.
Lastly the Sparks. I like where they got Latson. I never saw her as a 1st rounder. Where she got taken and her role is exactly where it should be. Not sure about Hassett. I saw her when watching Key and Morgan and didn't think she looked like a W player but round 3 is round 3.
