I'm pretty sure he's been made a deal by some high level folks to get his visa stuff taken care of if he adds his voice into the immigration conflagration especially considering the damage done to his career, he's going to need the sponsorship of the gov and others to help keep food on his plate by utilizing another avenue..such as "high profile activist".
