The last grade I completed was 8th grade. :yeshrug:Sad part is I had a full ride scholarship guaranteed to me before I was even out of grade school as long as I graduated highschool*

I'm going to college in fall though to get my computer science degree and try and become a computer engineer

When you grow up in a dysfunctional as fukk family or environment and get into trouble, drugs etc it's easy to get caught up in the system and drop out of school.

At least you're honest, mane. I have no ill words for you.

You're not getting 70-80 out of college unless you are in Cali, DC, or NYC and in those cities thats like making 35-40k elsewhere. And IT isn't a Job, lot of different areas under that umbrella such as Info Sec, Operations, Database, Software Dev, etc.

Do you know what actually Computer Engineers do? Do you actually have a passion for tech or are you doing it because you hear it pays? You also understand College alone is not going to get you a job right?
Word. Ull have to really work hard for computer science shyt. Nothing is guaranteed.

As far as math @biscuitsnbangers ya looking at several years of calculus. It is not easy. I wont lie if math aint a stronger point for you it may be tough. Im pretty good at math and i didnt study in college at all and got by but u can do anything if u work. How hard u willing to work is key. I sucked at programming. I was too busy getting wrecked instead of doing my programs.

I know people who do straight architectual drafting at these engineering firms who just literally draw using AUTOCAD who make like 55-65k a year. Its not math heavy (simple footage calcs) and its easy as fukk. U can literally do that with a 1 year certificate at a autocad course. I got my foot in the door doing that cuz my highschool experience with autocad.

Im not too savvy on the conputer tech shyt tho. Might do ya a favor to listen to the man here or check out those college threads in know the ledge. Good info in there.

I`m not even trying to be mean, but too many damn kids go to school for stuff they have no business doing all because they hear ish is sweet, then end up racking up student loan debt and not even finishing or switching to a "easier" major that has no job industry. I rather folks know fully what they are getting into before they waste their time and money.

Thats dope. I got a dual degree for electrical emgineer/computer eng. i basically just use my electrical one but both get u mad money right from the bat. Computer programmers make serious loot. fukk being a rapper when u get money like that working 8 hrs a day.

I shoulda went in the computer part but the elctrical shyt is mad easy. Congrats. Make sure u do that dont slip up. Ya life will be easy street.

As far as this dude. Idk yet. I can hear the opiates in his voice when he raps. He is saved by good production

EE takes alot of dedication and passion to do well. Unless you're smart, you can't half ass that shyt.

That was my first major(well technically second but that's anot her story). I had to switch simply bc I wanted to leave school sooner:yeshrug: my physics and hardware programming class messed me up.

I may go back for industrial/systems engineering since thats close to the field I'm in (shipping and logistics)

Yea. I was gon do architecture but i found out they dont make shyt n switched.

I didnt give it my full attention which is prolly why i work in the construction field rather than r&d but it still pays pretty good.

This thread went from 21 savage to it/electrical engineering. Talk about a derail:whew:
Yea my bad lol
