Matter of fact, there are a lot of "rich" people who are now broke due to the economy and bad decisions. All that risk taking looks good until it doesn't work out.

i agree with a good portion of that list. but there are some parts of it i just cant get with. investments is something i simply never trusted. i've heard too many damn stories of people losing everything overnight. smart people. not idiots. putting a substantial amount of ur worth onn shaky grounds like that is just reckless.

Thats why you diversify... smart people dont put all their eggs in one basket, or invest $$$ they can't afford to lose

Being a sociopath helps more than anything on that list. As for the desire to learn, maybe with some rich people but the ones I've come across (through work) are usually moderately intelligent but ignorant as fukk and stuck in their ways.

people invest because the sound of telling others that they have "investments" make them feel sophisticated.

and when u say diversify, do you know what you're talking about? diversify in what?? if the other avenues in which you "diversified" are also investment related, you're still no better than the average person who puts all his "eggs in one basket".

if you're going to invest, invest in things that carry no chance of u losing sh1t. and if u must invest in things that can go south, make it minimal.
