50s to 80s is unlike any other in human history. From tech to social change, that's why Back to the Future is GOAT, it came at the perfect time.

Remake BTTF and it just won't have the same impact. Billie Jean isn't as corny to us as Mr Sandman was to 80s audiences. Having no internet isn't as painful as having to watch B&W TV w no cable.

The 80s ushered in the "cool" age. Most shyt from the 80s is cooler than shyt now. NWA>Drake. Cosby Show>whatever the fukk is on TV now. Star Wars>prequels. But 50s shyt was corny af to 80s nikkas. Michael Jackson>elvis, Cosby>donna reed, ET>the blob. The 50s to 80s evolution is akin to the Rebirth.

technological growth as actually slowed down

All that stuff you posted is just better or smaller versions of stuff that already existed

They leap from their being zero computers to those big ass ones taking up a whole room is much greater than having an iphone in comparison to the tech from the 80's

the leap from there being no airplanes to wars being fought with them is the type of gap people were expecting

airplanes were invented over one hundred years ago and we're still using them, if we were in the future we wouldn't be air craft or even in the same type of propulsion systems or fossil fuel

astronauts were in space before cable television, so what's so amazing about an astronaut taking a picture of himelf
