Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
Minimum wage should be $22 minimum
The actual fukkin government told the whole country that 1800$ every 2 weeks, which is 900$ a week, was the necessary amount for people NOT EVEN GOING TO WORK during covid. 18$ a hour is like 550$ a week after taxes. Minimum wage, according to the actual damn government, should be around 25-27 an hour to get to 900$ a week.

Remember, WE did not decide that number. While not working, the lil 550$ a week woulda been ok enough for me to pay my bills, especially without having to worry about daily travel, fast food, ect. Americans should settle for nothing less than a 25$ a hour minimum wage.

Here we go

Everyone will celebrate this hollow victory. But not realize this will increase the cost of living nationwide and it will further decrease the value of the dollar
Word?

Is that what has been creating the high cost of living and wealth gap over the last 40 years?

All those minimum wage increases?

Oh right. That wasn't it.

Minimum wage increases won't cause the market to react in a way that's negative to consumers unless the wage hike was a drastic increase. Small incremental increases are harmless.

Anyway, I feel really bad for the Southern States. Most of them, and some Conservative states in the Northwest and middle of the country are still stuck at $7.25, which is the federal minimum wage since 2009. The only way they will get an increase is if the federal government passes a law to raise the wage since the state governments clearly don't want to do the right thing.
